Whether snowboarding a black diamond or blazing your own trail to a new campsite, your used Toyota truck will get you—and your equipment—there. Outfit your truck with the proper accessories and you’ll be ready for anywhere the road takes you. Check out these seven tools to get you and your gear wherever you’re going.

Truck Tent. If your destination is a campsite or if you’re exploring uncharted territory, a truck tent is the perfect way to take shelter with you. For added luxury while roughing it, consider adding a truck bed air mattress. Truck tents are an ideal way to save space and keep you safe, dry and off the ground.

Tie-Down Straps and Bungee Cords. No matter where you’re going, it’s important to keep your belongings tied down and secure. Tie-down straps and bungees are affordable and reliable ways to keep your cargo in its place—protecting you, others, and your equipment on the go.

Ski and Snowboard Racks. Prevent dings and damage to your snow gear with a snowboard rack that keeps your equipment out of the way and secure. In many rack configurations, you can pack multiple skis or snowboards to travel flat and compact. Other options include gearboxes, which keep your boards dry and scratch-free on the way to and from the slopes.

Tire Chains. Any adventure enthusiast’s toolkit isn’t complete without a set of quality tire chains. Even in four-wheel drive vehicles, chains help increase traction on icy roads. They are a must for winter weather driving, especially before roads have been cleared. Be sure to check your state’s laws on when and where tire chains are allowed.

Ball Hitch. If you’re planning on towing anything from a horse trailer to a jet ski, you’ll need a solid ball hitch and mount. With a variety of sizes and a range of adjustability, you can find the right one for whatever is in tow.

Kayak Rack. Much like a snowboard or ski rack, transporting your kayak or canoe is much more efficient with the proper equipment. With an object as bulky as a kayak, a rack becomes necessary to keep it secure. Preventing bumps and scratches can also help prevent a leaky boat.

Off-Road Light Bar. Cast some light on whatever adventures you find off the beaten path. Ultra-bright L.E.D. lights mounted on the top of your cab make nighttime off-roading much easier and safer.
