Original Panasonic battery. Almost 5 years old. Never had any issue with the battery but I will change it for a Kirkland Battery (Costco) or Johnson Control Battery sometime in Oct 2013. I usually change my batteries at 5 years before they give up on me.

I chose 3 years, though in reality it was two years, 11+ months, when it died at the airport after being parked there for 10 days. It died the next day, then got taken to the dealer who performed a stress test that the battery also failed.

Got a brand new warranty replacement with less than two weeks remaining on the 3 year warranty.

my battery is still OEM! so i think thats 9 years
2004 rav4. have left it for 5-6 weeks at a time without use and still starts!
NY
Installed goodies like 2 way alarm, double din dvd/gps system

on real cold days or leaving the car for a while. the car starts at a second crank not the first.

not sure if it matters, but i also have a 09 highlander still with oem battery and sometimes i dont drive it for 3-4 months at a time

One thought that has occurred to me. For those saying that they have 6 or more years out of their battery, they obviously do not have a 4.3
Either they may have different stock batteries or possibly different conditions under the hood??

Our OEM Panasonics have lasted quite a while - one went for 13 years in a Nissan. The OEM Panasonics in our CR-Vs lasted as long as we had the vehicles and were still in them and doing great when we traded them in - 8 years in one and 6 in another.

Had my original battery in my 04 for 8 years. Had it tested Nov 12 and it wasn't putting out the CCA. Got a blem from INTERSTATE to replace it.
