Sounds nice, Norm! Can you perhaps translate the lyrics to English? I think my mother and uncle would enjoy it, they are both from France.

Comment ça va ma p'tite soeur? (How are you*my little sister?)
Viens que j'te serre dans mes bras (Come I'll give you a hug)
Pis, as-tu r'trouvé l'bonheur (So have you found happiness again?)
Dans ton trip au Canada? (On your*trip*to Canada?)

Dans l'bout' c't'année y s'est pas passé grand'chose (Around here this year, nothing important happened)
C't'un peu morose... (It's a little bit boring ...)

J'espère au moins qu'c't'ait l'fun là-bas (I hope at least it was fun*out there)
Chu fier que tu m'aies pas ramené (I'm*proud*that you didn't bring me back)
Un beau-frère de l'Alberta (a brother in law from Alberta)
Ça m'aurait un peu ébranlé (It would have been*somewhat shaken me)
Jure-moi donc que c'fois là tu restes à' maison (Swear to*me*that*this time, you'll stay home)
pour de bon (for good...)

Anyway chu content que tu r'viennes (Anyway*I'm glad that you'll be coming back)
T'arrives en même temps qu'l'automne (You*'ll get here the same time as fall arrives.)
Tsé qu'ça m'a fait ben d'la peine (You know I was really sad)
De t'voir partir ma mignonne... (to see you leave my ''darling''*...)

Icitte y'a papa qui se r'met (Around here,*there's*dad that recovers)
De sa p'tite opération (from*his little*surgery)
T'aurais dû l'voir y feakait (You should have seen him faking)
Fallait l'traiter aux p'tits oignons (Had to*deal*with all his insignificant requests)
Et môman s'est inquièté toute l'année (And*mommy*was*worried*all year)
À cause de toé… (Because of*you*...)

De mon bord j'ai décidé (From*my side,*I decided)
D'arrêter de végéter (To*stop*to fooling around)
J'rentre à l'université (I'm going to the*university)
On verra c'que ça va donner (We'll see*what's comin' from that)

Mais tu m'connais chu pas motivé plus qui faut (But you*know me I'not motivated more than it is required)
C'est pas nouveau... (This*is not new ...)

Anyway chu content que tu r'viennes (Anyway*I'm glad that you'll be coming back)

T'arrives en même temps qu'l'automne (You'll get here at the same time*same time as fall arrives)
Tsé qu'ça m'a fait ben d'la peine (You know I had big difficulties)
De t'voir partir ma mignonne... (to see you leave my ''darling''*...)

J'ai vu Simon le mois passé (I saw Simon last month)
Ç'avait pas trop l'air de filer (He didn't seem to feel well)
Y m'a dit qu't'avais pas appelé (he told me me you didn't call him)
Depuis sa fête en février (Since*his birthday*in February)
Si tu l'aimes pus faudrait peut-être pas l'niaiser (If*you do not love him, do not fool around with him)
C't'un bon buddy (he's a good*buddy)

Et puis toé ma p'tite soeur (And you my little sister)
Es-tu toujours aussi perdue? (Are you*still*lost?)
C'est ti encore la grande noirceur? (Are you still in*the great darkness)
Ou ben si t'as r'pris le dessus? (Or maybe or did you get over it?)
Tsé qu'la vie est parsemée de p'tites misères (Y'a know that life is full of small miseries)
Faut pas t'en faire... (Don't worry about it...)

Anyway chu content que tu r'viennes (Anyway*I'm glad that you'll be coming back)
T'arrives en même temps qu'l'automne (You*'ll be here the same time as fall arrives)
Tsé qu'ça m'a fait ben d'la peine (You know I had big difficulties)
De t'voir partir ma mignonne... (to see you leave my ''darling''*...)

Ok, I just realised your related to James. Sorry for other viewers, i'm switching to french.

Allo!, il est normal que certaines expressions ne vous sont pas famillères car ce sont des expressions propre au Québec, néammoins je vois bien que vous n'avez pas perdu français et je suis bien content de ça!!!

Bonne journée!

Normand Leblanc.

Normand Leblanc.
He's not related to me! Like I said, my mom and uncle are from France.

Leblanc is a fairly common name here in Louisiana. In fact, I bought my RAV4 from Price Leblanc Toyota!

Sorry for the quick conclusion I did, the french flag of Silverghost has misrouted me.

Really hope Price Leblanc gave you a good deal...it's a chalenge to hold onto Leblanc's name but like my father used to say...''Leblanc 's are like weeds, they grow up everywhere''

I Know a bit about Acadians stories and saw some of the french quarter in your area with Streetview.

sincerely,

Normand Leblanc

I am sorry to have begun a relationship in this community - so badly.

I just did not realize the extent of english slang creeping into songs .

I found the same thing in a french singer ,she does english and german.

Don't worry about this, it's all my fault.
