The rav4 hybrid lights are much better than my old '98 corolla lights.
I even upgrade the corolla with bi xenons but the rav4h is still better.

I just got my 2017 Rav4 Hybrid Executive and the LED headlights are amazing !
And the automatic leveling of the headlights also works fine.

Low beam is great, high beam is very weak imo. I'm gonna mount a LED bar inside the grille.

People commenting about something that they do not have or have not tried is pointless. By the way these lights do not need adjustment, their coverage is amazing to the front and the sides. The automatic high beams work well, even where there is no oncoming traffic.
We quite like the LED headlights on our RAV4, we can see clearly pretty far down the road which is nice considering we're in rural WY and deer are a real concern around here. The only issue we've had is if anybody sits in the back seat it must elevate the headlights just enough as we pretty much get flashed by everyone on the road if someone's sitting in the back seat (adults, anyway, don't have kids). Even if we flash our high beams back, more often than not cars will leave their brights on at us thinking we left our brights on. If nobody's in the back seat we rarely, if ever, get flashed. We don't use the auto-high beams all that much, though probably will as we get more into winter on our commute back home.

I agree, I have had people flashing me at night, with my lights on low. Only twice, have I needed to use the "Sunshine" setting, when people left their high beams on. Incidentally, I am working on a mod, to add a "laser" setting. The lasers will come on, and be directed at the on coming vehicle's tires. In just seconds, the lasers will deflate the tires, precisely enough to cause the headlights to be directed out of my eyes. I am just beginning trials, and still making final programming adjustments to the computer, to ensure reliable recognition, and targeting of only tires. I am not able to say too much more, right now, or share early results, to avoid being identified :-)

I agree. On the high beams color is good but they could reach out further.

I've had oncoming traffic flash their high beams at me multiple times.
I didn't have my high beams on. I think the regular beams are a tad bright.

I just bought a 2017 RAV4 HYBRID XLE - I never tried the head lights at night. They are the WORST headlights i have ever had in a car. there is a 'screen' that puts a line in your field of vision - it is annoying and for me unsafe. When i go down a hill, i can barely see and have to turn on the brights. It doesn't seem like anyone eles is having this problem - so i am not sure if only the 2017 has this screen on the halogen headlights? does anyone know if there is anything that can be done about it? i had a 2004 4runner that i had for 12 years and the headlights on that were the best on any car i've ever had- these headlights on the rav4 are probably the worst. i am very curious if there is something that can be done or if i have to sell my 2 week old rav4 because i can't see at night.

Same problem with the 2016 XLE hybrid. Projector headlights are all like this. They have a very sharp cutoff mask in the projector assembly behind the projector lens. Worse still is the lack of left-right adjustment. Mine has the right hand headlight aimed a bit toward the centerline of the vehicle so they end up crossing at about 150 feet. Awful headlight design...
