This is so embarrassing. The port for the electricity plug-in for my R4HL was right in front of me this whole time! I have it charging now, and it shouldn't be too long before I am ready to go again!!
My wife was coming down from Prince Edward Island on vacation. I drove up from central CT to meet her in Ba Ha Ba, Maine. I topped off my R4H XLE in CT with Mobil Premium, just for fun. I had the cruise set on 80, kicking it up to 85-90 to get around the slowpokes >. The readout on the dash when I got to Maine was indicating 38.9 mpg. On the way back my iPhone said it was 289 mile to home and the readout said I had 276 miles until empty, so I figured I would run out somewhere in East Hartford. I stopped at a highway service station and filled up with Gulf medium grade. Because I had the wife with me I set the cruise at 70. Couldn't get over 31.5...!!! :surprise I'm guessing either Mobil 91 matters, or the magnetic pull of the polarity of the earth was holding me back, even though it's all downhill...
Perhaps using the computer for considering your mileage mattered more. That’s an estimate, usually in my experience running high and fairly unreliable. Miles driven vs actual gallons at fill up, no topping off, gives better results. Then do the math.
Premium gas vs. regular might affect mileage on a turbo, but on a NA designed for regular engine, nope. If you are feeding anything but regular into your RAV you are wasting money.
