I'm at work at can't see - So is there a V6?? Conflicts on this board. My '07 V6 was totaled a year ago - I've been waiting all year for this - if there is a V6, I'll be buying one- if not, I'm getting an Acura RDX. The Rav4's V6 was the only thing that differentiated it from a Honda CRV for me- if I wanted a 4cylinder, I'd have gone with CRV- a big mistake on Toyota's part if they dropped the V6.

I watched the presentation. That adjustable-lift-height power tailgate on the top model looks like a useful feature.
That picture they showed of the person in the back seat seemed to show sparce knee room. Yet they have thinner seat backs in front. I wonder if that impacts comfort in the front. 2.5 liter engine only, 176 horsepower, down from 179, but the 6-speed transmission should make up for the loss of power for the I4. There will be a sport/economy switch which will affect shift points and steering. Steering? Did I hear right? It was interesting that the presenter specifically cited the Highlander as the vehicle that was offered for those who want V6 power. I suspect a turbocharger version will be offered in the RAV4 at some point.

Thanks for the link. I am happy to announce that tomorrow I shall pay a deposit on the last remaining 2012 Limited V6 4WD Rav4 in Ontario. I don't know where the dealer is getting it, and I don't care. I'm trading my 2002 CR-V and keeping my 2008 Rav Base. Another 2-Rav family! |

The Highlander ONLY comes with 3 row seating = a bloody minivan - not an SUV. They blew it big time eliminating the only small SUV with towing cability. Goodbye Rav4 Forum!
