Uncompetitive with the class-leading Escape and CRV. Well, except for the V6, if it's still offered. Even then, the RAV4 is unlikely to outsell them. We can still enjoy huge resale values; not to mention the most functional of the current trucklets/CUV's/"cute utes".

I wouldn't count on them being on the US model, necessarily, since the pictures are from Saudi Arabia. Different markets get different stuff, and it seems like the Asian markets get the cool stuff like that before US models.
For example, I just bought a 2013 Passat TDI SEL. The Passat sold in the US is the "NMS" (New Midsize Sedan) that is also sold in Canada and China. The Chinese Passat gets LED DRLs and taillights (I'm not 100% sure about HIDs), yet they're not available on the ones sold in North America. |

I didn't see anything that made me regret buying my '12 Limited V6. Traded a '12 Kia Sorento w/11k miles for it. Kia had lots of bells and whistles but the GDI 4 didn't get close to the epa mileage and was under powered. The Rav4 rides, drives, and performs much better.

Welcome rminor and Mr Furious to a super Forum with lots of friendly, informed RAVers from many regions. I second it. I just hope they don't mess it up like what happened to my former 04 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix). Love the RAV4.3 just the way it is. Will be a hard act to follow. 08 RAV V6 4wd Ltd 34k 23.8 mpg this fall, was 24.1 mpg over the summer with the air on? Former rides: 54 Jaguar XK120MC Roadster: 66 Ford Mustang: 54 Chev.
