I could easily make up that $1920 over 150k miles by getting to work on snowy days.

I guess you cannot say AWD is useless in Marryland since its good for mountain-like area.

can I just go to any dealer and have them order the exact car I want?

will that make it difficult to haggle the price down?

Go on the various dealers' websites. Make your best deal and go drive it home. That's what my sister-in-law did from Alaska. Made the deal with Boch in Norwood MA after checking other dealers' best offers, flew hear from Alaska and drove it home.

Yes and probably. You might consider haggling less since you're creating more work anyways. Also it's a brand new model so most dealers aren't going to heavily discount anyways.

You're also talking about a car that maybe has a $1000 spread between invoice and MSRP, so that's about $20 a month on a monthly payment. Not a huge difference.
