Superbowl Rav4 commercial. Thoughts?

Are they selling cars or cute dogs?? The new RAV4 looks good in action, but it woulda been nice to see more of it (like the interior) and less of those dogs competing against each other for cuteness. WTF Toyota?

Just saw it, kinda liked it. But it didn't focus on the RAV4 features much.

At the beginning, the new RAV4 rolls up with the spare on back. I thought it looked great!

cute commercial, but it really didn't do much to highlight the vehicle, other than no spare tire on the back. I like the spare tire!

Same basic reaction as Violet West's - visually rather interesting, but apart from the vanishing spare tire there wasn't any substantive info about the vehicle itself.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It's the biggest and most expensive advertising day of the year, with a worldwide audience and more people actually paying direct attention to the commercials than any other day of the year, and Toyota chooses not to inform you about the redesigned vehicle, but instead just "fluffs it up" ?

What kind of target audience could they possibly be aiming for?

I wish I could get a 2013 RAV4 with a V6
I wish it could tow more than 1500 pounds
I wish it had a full sized spare tire
I wish it still had tons of underfloor storage
I wish the rear seats could slide back and forth
I wish the Limited had 110V power in the back
I wish I could get a Limited without "Softex" seats
I wish I could get a Limited with 17" wheels
<and the list goes on...>
