I am getting ready to order a new Rav4. I work for Toyota and order vehicles directly from the factory. Anyway, I have been checking out the new Rav4's and can't decide on a color, I will be getting the limited edition. I think I like the Blizzard Pearl White w/Black, or maybe the Magnetic Gray w/gray???
I'm having a terrible time and yes I am a woman. What color did you get?? |

My suggestion is to go out on the lot and look at the RAV in the different colours in bright sunlight with the vehicles spotlessly clean.
I ordered mine in Blizzard Pearl with the Terra Cotta interior. I made sure to see it in person before ordering, rather than relying on a brochure or website picture. Other than that, colour preference is such a personal thing that no one can tell you what to get. I won't even tell you that every colour except Blizzard Pearl and Classic Silver Metallic does not do the new RAV justice. Oops, just broke my rule. |

Thanks... yes, I just did that. The dealer I went to had just about every color on their lot, which was nice. I am leaning toward the Blizzard Pearl, because I like Toyota's white. However, I am getting rid of a RX400h in Blizzard Pearl and before that an Avalon in Blizzard Pearl.

I recommend the magnetic grey because it would do a good job of blending with the ugly plastic unpainted cladding. If the blizzard pearl was available on the Sport I would have got that.

In LE/XLE i was digging the black with grey int. it had the black sides which I thought was nice but 15 minutes of looking at it I was pretty turned off. Esp compared to the Blizzard Pearl with Terra.

From a former pro detailers stand point........Blizzard Pearl hides most minor imperfections and many major ones. Yes, I own one. The dark trim, providing you use products to keep it dark, should provide a visibly sharp contrast and enhance the entire look. Darker colors will look better as far as depth but they require MUCH more work to keep them looking top notch. If you are willing to put in the work and expense go with a darker color. If not, then Blizzard White Pearl is worth the extra expense in the long run. Not to mention it looks AWESOME when clean and maintained......you won't lose your car in a parking lot.

I like the Blizzard Pearl too. Hated it in silver. I like silver on many vehicles but I didn't like the way the taillights looked on the silver model.

Thanks all for the replies! Well I pulled the trigger and placed my order and chose the Blizzard Pearl w/Black interior. I had to place the order before 8:00 PST or else wait till next month.
Like I mentioned this will be my 3rd Blizzard Pearl vehicle. I have to say that the BP always looks good even when it's dirty...LOL! None of the other colors really spoke to me... so BP it is!! |

Toymom, I'm a woman too, and also had a very hard time picking a color. I tend to like colors rather than neutrals, but wasn't wild about the green, the red just wasn't doing it for me, and the blue was lighter and greyer than I would have liked. But after about a week of back and forth and looking at them on dealer lots, I finally settled on the shoreline blue with black interior. I go to pick it up tomorrow!
