Default Our 2013 Pyrite Mica Rav4 XLE..

Well the lease on our 2010 Rav4 Sport (with SAP) was coming to an end and long story short, our dealer got us into a new 2013 for very little more than our old lease. While I miss the rugged looks of our old Rav, I love the improved ride, power and interior features of the new car. It is a little shorter, so the roof rack will be more useable in my opinion. I miss the rear leds and power outlet and I cannot fathom why Toyota eliminated the auto off headlights on the XLE, but have them on the base and limited models. The engine compartment is much more roomy as it the interior shoulder room. I'll keep you all posted as we get to know our new ride. The ipod/bluetooth/back up camera system is great fun!

Here are some photos before we get it all muddy!

I looked further and there is some misinformation out there about the auto off headlights. The brochure our dealer gave us says the XLE does not have it but the other two models do. However, the Toyota website now says only the Limited has the auto off headlights. Probably just another way to bump people up a trim level. Oh, well. I'll get used to old school headlights again.

Thanks for the complements! I'm looking forward to seeing it the sun whenever it reappears.

This is incorrect, read it again. The Limited has auto ON/OFF headlights, while the other trims only have auto OFF headlights. They will turn off automatically 30 seconds after all the doors are shut.

Default auto on/off is adjustable, and limited vs xle

And the delay timing to 'off' is adjustable via the vehicle settings on the display audio. It can be 30 or 60 seconds, and I think 90 too.
Also, Sensitivity of the auto-on is also adjustable; can change to make headlights come on sooner/later at dusk/cloudy conditions.

Limited features vs XLE: This is what you pay 2600 more for (invoice)

Auto On and Off headlights with adjustable features
Auto dimming (electrochromatic) rear view mirror
Softex
heated (two settings) front seats
power driver seat with memory
larger 18" tires/wheels
smartkey system
power liftgate/adjustable height
extending sunshades
sliding console storage top/arm rest
----------

Anything else?

If the radio is used to change those settings, does this mean that you should not upgrade the radio???
