By demand/request. A quick shot I took before purchase.

One of the reasons i got the metallic grey is because it blends in nicely with all the plastic from the sides and front.

I would agree with carluzky. We really didn't like the black chunky plastic at all. I think it looks toy-like with the white, so we really didn't look at the lighter colors

I've seen the BP with the terra cotta. I did not like it, I thought it was an odd mix with the white exterior. But then I can't say I am a fan of the terra cotta in the first place. As already been said, it's not for everyone...but that's okay, different strokes and all that

I dig the Terra Cotta, took the pictures from a dealership nearby, love the feeling of the seats/material too.

I paid $24,900 for my Silver AWD EXL, just couldn't bring my self to pay extra few thousand for the leather.
BTW, I added the leather to my old Rav4 Sport V6 ( I believe I still have the cover seats in the garage) so maybe down the line I can do the same for my new Rav4.

Anywho, great material and color.

You do get a little bit more than just Softex for your extra $2k

You get a whole lot more for an extra $2,400 (that is if you are paying invoice price) Trust me, I was debating with myself wether to spend the extra cheddar, but I think it's worth it. In between the softex and the power liftgate plus the smart keyless, it's worth every penny and then some. Not to mention some more extra details like power seat, memory seat and visor extensions! The list goes on...
