Driving Lights

First off love my Rav 4, but i'm not a, "need all the bells and whistles"kind of guy. I have noticed when driving down winding roads, I don't have much light spread on the road edges. I had the light checked to make sure they are adjusted correctly, they are. I didn't opt for the driving lights, because I really didn't want to buy the Entune tainment center with navigation and the upgraded speakers for $2400 more. Now I'm am wanting to explore adding driving lights, and I am wondering, can it be done so that it comes on with the other lights, and turns off with them as well? I would like to hear any thoughts and suggestions on how this subject, I went to the dealer and they told me, I was looking at $735 for the parts and i would have to install a switch in the dash. I am trying not to make this look like something used in the walking dead.

I'd think that either factory or aftermarket ones could be installed if there is a place for them but that I don't know.
To have them work automatically with the headlights they'd have to be connected to either the low or high beams. Typically they work with the lows but if you live in a rural area and want to have the option to have them on with either you'd need a switch.

And the LAST place I'd go for this is the dealer. You'll likely get an our-way-only attitude and max pricing.

BTW, listing your year & model would be helpful.

Oh yes that would help I have a 2016 LE AWD, and yes i got that feeling of this is the only way and pricey on top of that. Thank you for your quick response, do you know where the best place to get the parts I need might be? Again thanks for your help!

I have a '15 XLE with the OEM fogs. I did the 'anytime' fog light mod and now I can run the fogs with both low and high beam lights illuminated, and with just the parking lights illuminated.

You'll have to search on here for the post with the mod because I can't remember exactly how I did it.
