2013 RAV4 Accessories

Thanks to this informative forum, I'm glad I purchased my '12 RAV4 V6. After purchase I've did alot of research on the accessories available on the 2012 and added most of them over the past couple of months. Looking at the 2013 I was surprised at the lack of OEM accessories available. Maybe because it's a new model, but after looking at what's available for my dad's new 4Runner, it appears this may be the new standard. It's a shame as I enjoyed making my car my own. Surprisingly the CRV has a large amount of add-on options...guess that's one thing Toyota didn't copy.

Notably missing to me, the chrome exhaust tip, and a trailer hitch (even the CRV has an available 1.5 one). Also the rear multimedia system granted it was over priced, but you would think it would be one of those "nice" things to try and get a family to buy.

Here's a list of items below:

Ext.
Alloy Wheel Locks
Body Side Moldings
Door Edge Guards
Mudguards
Paint Protection Film
Roof Rack Cross Bars - these aren't sold with the rails
Roof Rack Side Rails
Running Boards

Int.
All-Weather Floor Mats
Ashtray Cup
Cargo Cover
Cargo Net - Envelope
Carpet Cargo Mat
Cargo Tray
Cargo Tote
Cargo Net Hammock - is this really that popular that they kept it??
Carpet Floor Mats
Emergency Assistance Kit
First Aid Kit
Front Floor Lighting Kit - you would think this would come with the limited
Remote Engine Starter - wonder if it still shuts off when you unlock the door
Shift Knob - I hope this is just an upgraded one

I assume the cargo net hammock is the one with the aluminum poles? Not surprised, as I spotted the mounting holes for it in the pictures of the 2013 cargo area. I use mine all the time--much more useful for me than the tonneau cover, and the Limited used to come with both. The rear seat DVD player was never a good seller, as you mentioned it was way overpriced.

Yes, the hammock is with the 2 poles. It used to be called a Cargo Net, Tray. It didn't come with the '12 Limited, and I actually saw one of your posts about it and ordered one online and it has been back ordered since mid-December.

My used Base Rav4 came with the Cargo net and Tonneau cover.
Don't know if it is installed in all Canadian Rav4s or I just got lucky.

They are not installed in Winter as I am frequently carrying my Toro CC 2450 snow blower at the back.

You got lucky. I did get a cargo net and tonneau cover thrown in the deal for my '09 Sport though and the tonneau cover became standard in Canada on the Sport in '10.

However, the cargo net is the one that hooks into the back and really sucks cause it's just pressure mounted and can pop out easily.

As someone described above, Cargo Net = hammock is with the 2 poles.

It is very secure and nothing has even come out of it and I have put all kind of crap into it - from groceries to car parts.
