Auto Dimming mirror

Hi all. Just approaching 2k miles on my XLE. Love the car but i am missing having an auto dimming mirror. I have seen other threads about this on this site but i still had a couple questions i hope you can answer. I am looking for the auto dim with compass as i don't really need homelink. I am not a big fan of ebay so i would like to get one elsewhere. i looked on amazon and a few other sites but none are made specifically for the '13 Rav4. Can you just pick almost any Gentex mirror and it will fit the Rav? I see some that were made for the '13 Camry. Will these fit the Rav? Friend of a friend owns an auto shop who will do the install for me but they don't sell the mirrors. Any advice on what i should get or where to get it. Thanks.

Thanks Hudson2302. I did already see that thread though. That thread mostly talks about how to wire the mirror which i am paying someone to do. Other peoples posts say they got theirs on ebay which i don't really want to do and no one really gives any specific brand/model of mirror. Can you really buy a mirror that was meant for a mazda and have it fit a rav4? Sorry for being ignorant on the subject. Which is why i'm asking all of you.

Yes, you can get a Gentex mirror from a Mazda, Honda, or practically any car except GM. Most of those GM mirrors have OnStar buttons. Measure the dimensions of your existing mirror and choose one with the same general size and shape. Your local shop should have no problems installing it.

I've got the a set of factory Toyota snap on wire covers for the Toyota auto-dim mirror (made by Gentex), if anyone needs to hide their wires.
