Anybody know how to install aftermarket tweets in 2013 rav4?

Hi, I've wanting to upgrade my sound system in my 2013 LE Rav4 but my friend and I got stuck when we tried to install new tweeters with Focal PS 165V 6-3/4" 2-Way Component System. When we attempted to install it my friend found that there were 4 wires instead of 2 which was confusing. Looking thru guides many people say that were suppose to connect X color wire to X color "Blue to Blue, Red to Red" kind of thing but sadly 2 of my wires are black and the other are very very dark gray "Might as well be black since they all look the same". I'm lost on what to do and if anybody could recommend me a post, site and/or videos that would great! And what would you guys recommend for Car stereos?

Thanks for reading I'm a newbie with this but hoping for some great advice!

See no harm in trial and error testing.

We did test to see what wires are what but we were afraid that if we position the negative and positive wires incorrectly we can damage the speaker.

Stock wiring is likely similar to Tacoma and Corolla.
Toyota runs the wiring from the HU to the tweeters, then loops back out to the main speaker.
The speakers are in parallel with a capacitor to block the low frequencies from the tweeter.

Best option, snip the stock tweeter out, run the wires from the main speaker to a crossover, then wire from the crossover to each speaker.

Quick and dirty, duplicate the factory wiring.

Good to know! I'll try run wires to a crossover, atm I don't have them installed since I'm waiting to get a Aftermarket HU and amp to power it. Thanks again!
