Sorry for this newb question, but is there a difference between an OBD2 cable and an MVCI cable? They look to be the same thing? Seems like can get a cheap OBD2 quicker than a cheap MVCI. Thanks for any clarification to this ignoramus.
An OBD2 cable is generally used for software that checks codes and performance info, an MVCI cable could be used with Techstream to access the same as well as customizable options that only Toyota service can access, you'd normally get the software with the cable.

Thanks much. Consistent with your statement, it appears the chip in the MVCI cable has some import in the ability to run the Techstream software/program/flash/whatever various ECUs in the vehicle. Thanks again.
