No LED DLR in 2013 RAV4

Has any one hoped for LED DLRs? I did! There is a portion of the headlight above the turn light that seems to be dedicated LED DLR. Well - according to the manual the DLR is that same as on current models - hi-beam running in parallel... so stupid!

Any owners out there to confirm?

There will be Led-drl and depending on the trim level low-beam xenons.
Rav4 for Toyota Europe is more high level vehicle than in NA, so pushing down the price is not so important for the sales.
In my country, Rav4 is the third most expensive Toyota after Land Cruiser Prado and GT86 (New Rav4 2wd prices start from 36000Eur 48600Usd).
That to my mind explains the differences in the specifications.

According to that RAVs are very expensive in Finland. Is there an expensive tax on new vehicles and does the 36,000 Euros price include tax?

Everything in Europe is more expensive, usually double the prices we get in north America. We've got it good in so many ways that if I start naming everything this forum would need extra hard drives for it's servers :D

Yes there is. Tax depends from vehicle's Co2-emissions and manufacturer's price. Lowest EU-price usually can be found in Germany as there are no new car tax (2013 Rav4 2wd 26600Eur, 35900Usd)
Rav4's basic price also has customs' tax due to reason they are imported from Japan (there are no agreement between Eu and Japan).

Yeah, I thought the area above the turn signal was a DRL, it turns out to be a blank that just looks good. My guess is that this is a DRL for the 4.4 hybrid; however DRL LED module's that replace the blank will probably be available soon for a DIY option.

I had test drive and took picture of the lights. They act both drl and parking lights when low beam is switched on.

Is there anyway I can get these LEDs shipped to Toronto? When you open up the hood and check it out from the inside, they have left a place to put LEDs but the only trouble is that it is covered and closed.

The pictures show the space where the LEDs should have been. It's the little space where its written '12V'. The 'L' stands for left as the one on the right has 'R' on it.

Anyone know how to deal with this to install the LEDs? and where to get the LEDs from?
