Hi Junebug, I read through the instructions before I posted previously, that's what gives me pause. Without having the item and parts in my hands it's hard to visualize the install. What I was getting at was this: from someone (in this case, bigbird1) who has already installed the hood deflector, is the install as difficult as the instructions imply or is it easier? How long did it take? Any other guidance that could be given would be greatly appreciated.

Best way to install it - have someone else do it

The deflector is on. The instructions were perfect and the process was without any expletives. That is always a good thing.

The next project, when they arrive, will be installing the fog lights. Any info kicking around on that?

Nicely done! Any time you can complete the job without expletives AND Band-Aids is definitely a good thing!

Picked up my bug deflector this morning and installed it this afternoon. It seemed a lot more finicky than my Matrx bug deflector install (but that install was 10 years ago so who knows). Anyway, it looks good and if I had to do another I'm sure it would take 1/2 the time. My wife's dressmaker's tape measure (marked in mm) worked better than a metal ruler or metal tape measure.

Unlike Lineareagle however, there were a few expletives when I kicked over the step stool holding all the little plastic parts but eventually I found them all.

I have a Toyota bug deflector shield installed on my 2013 Toyota RAV4 LTD. Thanks to "Big Bird", I think I have the only vehicle in the USA to have an "original equipment" one bought and installed. (The deflector did come from Canada)

Hi Ron.
I trust your bug deflector is busy deflecting the summer bugs, just as mine is. This week I was out on the highway at night. The front end of my RAV was plastered with bug guts from the bottom of the headlights down. The deflector really does its job. There were no bugs on it, or the lower windshield. The A/C condenser was another story. I had to blast the condenser with the garden hose nozzle to flush out all the moth carcasses.

Here are some pics of yesterday's install. Looks good with the red, I think.

I can only hope that Weathertech will produce one soon.
In NYC i am more concerned with chips on the edge of the hood from flying debis
In a worst case scenario, could US owners order from CA?
Or would shipping and taxes be a bear.....
