Default Problems logging in...

Ok, this has been going on long enough. I have to ask for help. I joined this forum in December of 2011 & this problem has been occuring constantly since I joined. It happened today as well.

I go to rav4world.com
I log in.
I get the screen (or popup) that says: "Thank you for logging in rob00000"
That screen (or popup) goes away & guess what?
I'm NOT logged in.
I can go to the forums and read the posts, but again, I'm NOT logged in so it won't let me post anything in the forums.
In the upper right hand corner where it would normally show
"Welcome,rob00000" it shows the username_______ & password_______
I don't get it?? It just happened today. I kept logging in & logging in & logging in maybe 30 times before I was actually logged in.
What is going on? Is this occuring with anyone else here?
Thanks.......

Sorry you are having problems, Rob. What browser are you using? Are you sure you have cookies enabled?

I think I have Windows NT. My laptop is only around 2 years old. I can't figure out how to find out what version I definitely have. I have my internet privacy setting at medium. That blocks some third & first party cookies. Do I need to change that to accept all cookies?? Isn't it dangerous to have it set that low?

Windows NT is an old operating system. I don't think a 2-year old laptop would have come with NT installed. Find an icon on your desktop or start menu called "Computer" or "My Computer" and click the right mouse button on it. From the pop-up menu click on "Properties" and the General tab will show what system you're running. And you're probably using the Internet Explorer browser that comes with it?

You're right, it's not NT. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.

Also, I don't think the problem has anything to do with my cookies settings. The reason I say that is just now I played around with my cookies settings trying low med high even "block all cookies." Even with the "block all cookies" setting on I was able to log on. So, it seems like when the website is allowing me to log on then I can have my cookies set to anywhere I want & I'm fine. When it's not, I can set the cookies setting anywhere & it has no effect.

On another note, I'm also a member of several other forums & I never have any problems logging onto those websites. This is the only website that gives me nothing but trouble. Because of that I doubt that the problem lies in my computer. Look at my post count. I've got less then 40 posts in almost a year of being a member. That's mostly because I'll sit here some days for a long time logging in & in & in and I just give up because I've got better things to do with my time then spend all day trying to log onto this website.

Had that same problem a few days ago. Problem went away by itself.
I couldn't reply to this forum to find out what was wrong.
