OK so it has my interest, but who is going to be the first to take the plunge in obtaining one of these from the Philippines?

It costs about £86.57 ($138.46US) or (€99.42), and I haven’t even asked the shipping question yet.

I’m just hoping if somebody has bought one, or is in the process of getting one, they can let us know how they got on with it…

I remember that quite a while ago there was a member here who had installed the aforementioned "chin skirt".

EDIT: That member's name was "toumazos" but I can't find him here anymore. Here is a picture of his Rav though:

I’m told the estimated shipping cost from the Philippines to the UK is £81.28 ($130.00US/€93.51), although I haven’t ascertained yet if that is an 8-10 day airmail shipping cost, or a 12-16 week regular international shipping cost.

With a price of £86.57 ($138.46US/€99.42), this item will attract Import VAT in the UK. The Import VAT is £17.31, plus there is a Royal Mail handling fee of £8.00 for notification, payable prior to delivery or collection.

So a total of £193.16 ($309.13US/€222.22), and I’m still considering it? If somebody has already bought one, and they can let us know how they got on with it, it could really make my mind up for me!

I can't find a picture of that type though.
Just found one while browsing a russian website:

(direct link: http://shar76.users.photofile.ru/pho.../108934308.jpg)

I also sourced the part number: PZ417-X1510-00
These rectangular lights house H3 bulbs rated at 55 Watts. The kit also contains the switch, the relay and a 15A fuse.
Since most Ravs were pre-wired for them, the installation is pretty much plug and play.

They do not require the plastic bumper guard (part number PZ415-X9953-00) to be mounted on.

Is the wiring there as standard then (like on a lot of Volkswagens) and you just need to buy the switch for the interior end and fog lamps for the other end (maybe with short wiring harness)?

Note that the wiring is present in mine as well, despite the fact that it is a 1999 model. The only change is that the location of the fog relay is not at the driver's kick panel but under the hood.

That's good to know, that you! Although I'd want to be able to have them on with full beam too, so I'll probably just wire them in myself.

Also, how do you get on to that how to guide from the Rav4world homepage, I can't find the link, I assume there are other how to guides?
