WU6188, how many layers of paint do you use and how many layers of clear coat? I do hope you didn't keep to a single layer.

A 17 year old paint coming off is not that odd. Seeing the harsh conditions most RAV4 have to endure (quick temperature changes at the hood, lots of sun, salt, cold, heat, water, hit at high speed by pebbles and what not.)
Greetz

No not a single layer 3-4 good coats of colour
the car didn't cost me much and has highish k's so I didn't what to spend a fortune on it. so I that why I'm painting it myself, I think the 4.1 ravs
look good in white and its an easy colour to work with. I'll put some pic up when I finish

Looks very good in pictures, I guess there really is not too much surface to paint. Did you do the door jambs and under the hood and stuff?

Again thanks, the 2 bars on the back are great to stand on when cleaning the top of the car, as for tools I watched lots of you tube vids on how to paint a car Ha Ha, there is a lot of info on you tube on what you need and how to do it
eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnYBhBbgvK8

Hi
I just bought this 1997 Raw4, only 85.000km!

I really like the creamy white color, not sure of the name.
