Hi I have a 95 rav4 in green and all the clear coat is coming of
![]() So I'm just going to paint it white I doing it panel at a time as use the car all the time, just finish buffing the front todaypictures a bit rubbish as taken on my phone

WU6188, how many layers of paint do you use and how many layers of clear coat? I do hope you didn't keep to a single layer.
A 17 year old paint coming off is not that odd. Seeing the harsh conditions most RAV4 have to endure (quick temperature changes at the hood, lots of sun, salt, cold, heat, water, hit at high speed by pebbles and what not.) Greetz Pim

No not a single layer 3-4 good coats of colour
the car didn't cost me much and has highish k's so I didn't what to spend a fortune on it. so I that why I'm painting it myself, I think the 4.1 ravs look good in white and its an easy colour to work with. I'll put some pic up when I finish ![]()

Looks very good in pictures, I guess there really is not too much surface to paint. Did you do the door jambs and under the hood and stuff?

your rav4 looks very good.
where and what tools did you use for your project? i also like the hitch with the 2 handle bars on your truck. i'd like to get one for my rav4. |

I just bought this 1997 Raw4, only 85.000km! I really like the creamy white color, not sure of the name. ![]()
