Default Dyno Run for mensajero...At Last

Well I guess I owe it to a lot of people here. After so many mods and no numbers is like running your RAV4 down the quarter and at the timing booth, no timing slip.

Of all people, my cousin, Tito, has installed a Dyno about five minutes from my house. Since I'm in dept with a lot of old ravers here lets do it this way. I'll first give the old raver a tune-up. Which consists of 3 quarts of Castrol 5w-30 oil, one quart of Lucas oil stabilizer, four E3 spark plugs and a check on all the wiring that everything is working properly. Why? That Apexi NEO will show how much it's work on a almost stock engine. Just a Header and an K&N Apollo Intake

I'll fire up the old Sony camera and take a clip or two and post them on Youtube. Also, some shots with the Nikon of the data sheet. Then I'll post it here so we can all take a look at it and give our opinion. From Stock to Rock!

You guys can start giving opinion and/or pointers so I can follow. (No Jokes Please )

Glad you're going to the dyno.
I dyno'ed my 5s and my 3sgte, it's a good time when you make some good #s.
Just do a couple 3rd gear runs and a couple 4th gear runs.

I say the over/under for hp is 105 to the wheels.

Why do you think E3 sparks are the choice you want to go with?

Why are you going with the moderate quality castrol oil? (Why not for the much better quality of Red line?)

Why on earth would you want to use stabilizer in the RAV if you are planning to clean and tune it?
I do think you are going to clean it well (inside and out) right? If not, why so?

E3 sparks Plugs have run well on my engine. Having more torque then any other SP I've tried. I've already tried NGK Iridium, Champion, Bosch, Denzo and for me, they have better power.

Castrol have run in my engine since day one, 5W-30. Just look on your oil cap and see which viscosity does it recommend for the 3SFE engine.

The Lucas stabalizer is an insurance. My engine has seen 90K hard miles. Yes, it has an custom oil cooler. But one thing that the Lucas has done, quiet the engine down. No more dreaded clanking sound. I've changed the oil every 3k miles, religiously. Once that engine warms up, it runs very well. Just ask all the V6 Tacoma, Runners, Nissans, Maxima, Suzukis, Honda I've ate up over the years.

You KNOW this and you haven't run it to get the numbers yet?

While you are at it, why not get a new set of stock plugs and do a run with them, too.

I honestly don't fully understand you getting middle of the road (or maybe below that) spark plugs and oil and trying to get more power/ torque out of your car.
It may be me, but i have a feeling that if you 'ate' so many cars that your knowledge about getting superior outcomes out of your car is not your best quality. (no pun intended tough)
And no, my own knowledge is not very well in that part, so i cannot really help you out.
But i know that Castrol isn't the best to be using out there. It's at best mediocre. If you really seek to find that good torque, that fine tuned car. You will have to go all the way and invest into better quality items.
And if your car has ran 90K miles. You should not put in the same oil as is put into the new car. That's weird that you do so. Older cars have different needs. And require different oil.

I say again, any suggestions? Which oil would you use? Which SP would you use?
