Hi All
Was a member a few years ago when I owned my first RAV4 4.1 but had to reregister this time around. Just picked up a 1998 RAV4 STAX with 80,000 miles on the clock in very good condition, paid just £1200 which I think is a steal. Used to own a Jap Spec GX a few years ago and missed it so thought I'd buy another one for the winter in the UK, also I moved from West London where I used to live to the middle of nowhere in Wiltshire so hopefully the possible snow and ice we may suffer shouldn't be a problem. One flake of snow and the whole of the UK grinds to a halt, also if it's the wrong type of snow our train network can't cope either. Hopefully the pictures display correctly, the dark blue RAV is the earlier one and the light blue one is the one I've just bought. Thanks Chris |

Very nice! Congratulations! Do you stil have the motorbike pictured in the foreground in first pic, and if so, what is it? Your RAV probably will do well in snow in comparison with the rail system!
I know what you mean about snow and the rail system. I lived in Essex with rail service at the bottom of our road, and with only a little snow or a few leaves on the rails the line was closed down.

The bike is a BMW C1 200cc scooter, I used to work in central London so it was perfect for the journey in and out of the city every day. Yeah we had snow in 2007 and 2008 and the RAV was unstoppable, I've also got a BMW E46 Schnitzer and as soon as it sees a snow flake it just sits there spinning its wheels, absolutely useless. |
