I have an excessive vibration from the car.
idle is 660 in drive, and almost doesnt vary much from that number. as soon as i tap the gas pedal just a hair, it smooths out. it does vibrate in reverse as well. in park tho, its a smooth as new, you dont feel a damn thing. i put it in drive and power braked it, saw some movement...in reverse, i noticed the upper cooling hose moving forward and back, something indicating to me that it may be a motor mount issue. consider this...i replaced the plugs with proper ngk ones, the plug wires, valve cover gasket, 2 vac lines, cleaned IAC, cleaned throttle body and seafoamed the whole car, removed EGR and cleaned it out and it tests normal and not sticking and replaced the air filter, and pcv valve. oil change is pending but i doubt thats gonna matter. engine was running lean before i did all the above, now its very close to proper level, leaning lean but maybe about 10% of what it was before i did all the above. the vibration was there before and after all the above work was done...when in park however it feels better so i did improve something. anyone else have this same issue and motor mount was the culprit after all the above was done? |

It could also be the transmission mount. Both come loose, break or the rubber wears down to allow movement.

Oil filter might have something to do with the engine running rough in idle if it's still dirty inside. Might want to seafoam it again because i suspect there is quite some crud inside still, making the firing process during idle unstable.
Engine mount nor transmission mount are likely to act up during idle. They do during driving if they are bad, especially if you are common to regular rocking the car back and forth during parking, have a habit of (too) quick change of gears and such. Greetz Pim
