Hi,
I have a 1996 Rav4 3 Door and recently my fuel tank strap just sheered off and was left hanging. I have managed to patch it up by bolting a bit of steel to it but it's a temporary fix. The strap is rusted pretty heavily and will not last very long so I am in search of a replacement. I have scoured the web in search of one but with no luck. I am based in the UK. Could anybody suggest somewhere where i could get one, or have the dimensions so I could get one made? I appreciate you help |

either a scrap yard or toyota only, you'll need to order the strap and rubber strip. is it the strap that broke or the bolt sheared off?

Thanks for your reply,
Its actually the metal strap which has snapped. The bolts are fine. I used a piece of metal and drilled a hole in each side and bolted the strap back together but it won't last long. I have tried toyota and called round various scrap yards and searched online but unfortunately with no luck. |

If you google local steel suppliers and tell them what its for they may be able to help and you could make your own, it,s only mild steel and easy enough, and if you've lost rubber strip you could use thick sticky foam tape,
