Wow, some annoyance from your side on the part that nobody is helping you?

We are all ordinary people here, not some commercially motivated sellers. If you like to get something, you usually have to try to do that yourself, rather then make others take the risk for you.

Happy that you got it sorted out. Hope it works out nice for you.

Sed1999Rav4,
We've tried using urethane impregnated mounts in combination with a new mount. I'm not sure how you're getting the urethane to stay stable when the mounts are on a vehicle, but I can tell you that we've done it in the shop via masking off all areas for urethane escape.

It works well for a while. Then, in our experience, the urethane separates from the rubber. It takes a while and it may be that our materials were different from yours. Here is a set of engine mounts we did via the same means - and we end up with unhappy customers, which means I refund 100% of the item costs, eat the shipping, and the customer keeps mounts:

What really needs to be done is that someone needs to make a urethane mount that is 100% urethane - or someone needs to completely redesign that mount so that it's similar to the mount on the RAV4.2.

We've talked out manufacturing about changing the mold on the rear mount, but they want real money to do it and want a production run of over 1000 parts, just to think about it...

As such, we haven't done it. In the mean time, if you need the mounts - I supply Rock Auto and you can contact me if you're in the states. If you're not in the states, you'll need to go through Rock Auto, as it simplifies the time it takes me to get through the customs issues.

PM often will not work, as I'm not on the forum much... But Email will - cb1000rider@yahoo.com

Also note, that just replacing the rear mount may not get the job done. Once that rear mount goes, it over flexes the front mount - and that's really what causes that big bang upon shifts. Toyota wants ridiculous money for both mounts.

These are our replacements:

cb i fully understand the money toyota want for the mounts as opposed to rock auto as rockauto has sent me both front and rear mount for less money than my main toyota dealer wanted, all i need now is a step by step guide on fitting the front mount ,

I'm the guy supplying RockAuto with those parts... If you're in the USA and a forum member, I'll provide discounts on shipping directly.

Sorry I don't have a how-to on the front mount, it is a little more difficult than the rear (mainly because the rear is cake). There also appears to be several ways to fish it out of there. I think there is a write up on the 'net, I just can't find the link now...

Angel (Mensajero), with all due respect. But if you are as enterpreneur in the business of selling them, i think you know a bit about quality and design of those things.
At least, i would expect that.
On the other hand, commercial business also will make people exaggerate the differences a bit.

I concur with you. But when they're impossible to buy, the next best thing is to DIY. I've research them for quite some time. In Australia, UK, China, they're not available for the RAV4. Not even the fill ins which means they are not even fabricating them. The once available are not even close to the RAV4. The once I made are pathetically horrible. It was a mess. Such that I didn't even bother to post them here. But, they ARE useable. But I used BLACK Polyurethane and to tell you the truth, they're pretty strong.

Problem with the RED Poly is that eventually, the Poly falls off.
