Does the check engine light come on? Have you checked for any codes?
Replace the radiator cap with the proper cap, even if it is new it could be bad. You wouldn't believe how many times I've fixed cooling issues with just a new radiator cap. With new caps people get the wrong cap and it won't seal properly, it's the wrong temperature range, or it's just a defective cap.
If work has been done on the cooling system was it "burped"?
How do you know the water pump is good?
How new are your hoses?
Are you using at least a 50% mix of anti-freeze/distilled water?
What about oil pressure? Oil accounts for about 1/3rd of your cooling. If the oil pump isn't working properly it can overheat the engine. It should throw a code on the OBDII.
If you have any water leaks from hoses or expansion plugs, water pump, etc it will not allow the system to cool properly.
You have hoses under the exhaust manifold shield and to the throttle body, are all of those sound?
