straight from the Haynes manual

Due to the specail tools and expertise required to press the hub and bearing ...... Blah blah blah ........ take it to an automotive machine shop.......
No help there sorry......

How long had you been driving around before the river crossing??? If everything was hot when you drove in and it suddenly cools you get some problems if you dont have a breather tube fitted to your transaxle and rear diff (They SUCK in water!!!)

Keep on RAVin.....

well ........it is not fhe first car where I got troubles whith front bearings.......rav4 does not have a very nice design there...I already seen few drawing about

bearings are not sealed.....and has double row ball bearing , comparing to others .........with double bearing or , and cylindrical , cone bearings

I wheel have soon the japanesse technical mechanical books where I hope to get better pictures and drawing

You right haynes manuals they are kind of superficials....but some time realy helps
