It would be interesting to look at that glass with a microscope. Deposits or pitting/etching? Maybe you could post a close-up picture taken with a camera. Many cameras have a macro mode which lets it focus closer. The icon is often a tulip. I had a plastic meter face with some fine scratches causing a bit of a frosted look. Some Rain-X made it look a little better.

Okay so after some searching I found a product called Amaz at my local dealership. After many applications and scrubing with microfiber cloth. THEY'RE GONE! It was some trial and error. They give you a little scrub pad however THAT scratched my glass. But product and rag didn't. It just took twice as long. I used almost the whole tub on just the passenger side windows. Still need to do the back window and the windshield. But its worth it! It was only like ten bucks.

Glad you finally got it fixed, Katai.
Thank God, we can end this thread!

+1. I was beginning to believe that it was one of those wind-up-the-membership threads!

I am surprised that C-L-R did not do it if there was no etching, which A-MAZ says it does not handle.

Do a google search on a product called Ceriglass.....
I used that stuff and all my wiper marks, road film, and water spots disappeared. With a buffer, I also removed all the light scratches on the glass. Applied Aquapel, and I'm now set for the rainy Oregon winter weather. MUCH better product than RainX.... |
