Unknown Dash Symbol

A warning light has come on on my dash (1995/6 2dr) - it looks like a car with its back lights on. I've checked all the rear lights and they are all fine. What does this light mean? Thanks!

Did you check the brake lights?

Thanks for your quick response. I did. I checked back lights, brake lights and reverse lights - all good.

have you checked the front and side lights, all bulbs.

its prob a generic lamp out sign. not location specific

I don't think in 1995/6 RAVs had a 'lamp out' indicator. That was perhaps only on high-end cars (not RAVs!) and even on my last 2006 RAV it didn't have them.

a lot of the imports from japan had the lamp out, the usual culprit is the third brake light (the one in the rear window) my mate has a constant problem with his due to a short in one of the wires so we cheated and put some tape over the lit symbol as all the bulbs were fine..
