Lately I've been wondering where I could get a replacement for the part of the dashboard that surrounds the radio & has the vents in there (or if it's even available anymore!)
^This thing (and yes, I messed it up real bad.. woops)
So you want that silver trim part which is held with 4 screws. You can try the dealer first or look for one in the junk yard. Another option is just paint the old one silver. Is it because of that bottom part has scratched paint?
Thank you very much JuneBug! I would do that too indeed, if only my stupidass wouldn't have drilled a hole in it (where you see the little metal part hanging, I don't have it in my car anymore now). Might still make a difference though!
Oh, I've got a fix for that too. Sand the hole down smooth with fine sandpaper. Cover the hole with a piece of Scotch (cello) tape. Fill in the hole in the back with epoxy. When the epoxy cures, peel off the tape and remove any remaining sticky residue with (napthalene) lighter fluid. If done carefully it would be difficult finding where the hole was after painting.
The only reason I'm suggesting this is the fact that this panel is stupidly expensive from the dealer.
