Red face driver side power window

hi folks; all windows save driver side can be partially openned leaving it at desired level; however, only the driver window goes all the way down and all the way up, with no choice of leaving it parially open. can this be changed? if so, how?
and thanks for your help

Be more gentle operating the control. I suggest instead of thinking in terms of applying a force upward or downward, think of displacing the lever a small amount.

i think its setup that way; even with a slight force, as soon as its applied, down it goes all the way, and up also

I know the feeling, sometimes its a pain to put at a custom setting. You (well I) end up flicking the switch 4-5 times before it stays lol

You are pushing the button too hard. Push it down to the first detent and hold it there. When you release it the window should stop where you want. If you push it all the way past the detent to the bottom, it will go into auto mode. Same thing when pulling the button up to close. If for some reason, yours doesn't function this way, take it back to the dealer.

Ravi, you're not alone. I'm in my fourth week with the vehicle and I'm still cussin' like a longshoreman every time I try to open my window "just a little".

Thanks 4x again James (JuneBug). Never did figure it out in 90k miles on my former Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrux) and 3 months now on my newer RAV 4.3. You and our other fearless
leaders sure do a wonderful job with this Forum.
