i have no actual experience with the projectors. but i beleive that they help protect the fragile HID bulb as well as help direct the beam in a more favorable fashion. I do know that most HID's a very pricey and incredibly fragile (fingerprints on the bulb can cause the bulb to crack due to its high heat). and every HID ive seen has the projector. sorry wish i could be a little more help

yeah she may not be the most beautiful thing out there, however I wouldn't trade her for anything. There simply is no light SUV comparison. Go ahead Bluebook it... there's a damn good reason why they hold their value so well

for the 4.2 the best thing to do is to retro fit your headlight and put bi xenon projectors!

it could be easy and also very hard. depends on what projector you go with and everything. i was quoted something around 700 to get fxr bi xenon projectors installed in my headlights. check out sickhids if you dont know how to do it. or if you do want to do it check out the retrofit source

yeah ddm is good. get a 35w kit and get anything from 4300k to 5k the most. those are the best colors that give you the best light. anything more or less you will lose light and only have color.

Try using a halogen housing with HID's installed in them during a snow storm or fog...you will deeply regret it due to all the excess glare thrown back towards you. Let alone getting "brighted" by oncoming traffic due to the glare you're giving all of them during daily driving. A greater quantity of light doesn't equate to better quality of light.
Best solution is to use some GE Nighthawk bulbs in the factory locations then add some aux. lighting for when you need some more oomph. |

35w for hids because 55w is too bright in reflectors. causes eye strain and a lot of blinding.
