Can anyone give me some useful advice in replacing my Rav4 keys. I have two sets of keys, they work fine but the housing has crracked on both of them, near the screw in the middle. Really only need to replace half the housing, any ideas, I live in Darwin NT,

2 button casing?
if so you buy off ebay and get key cut and just swap over buttons as the shell can be opened. ignore key cutting people about having to program key as the immobilizer is in the button pack.
I did this and never had a problem.

As per the others, source them from eBay. Careful though, some do not have the logo on the shell. I'd recommend getting one from an Aussie-based seller, as it will be quicker & less headache involved.

I know with mine i have both the keys with buttons and 2 plain keys where 1 starts the car and the other just unlocks the doors i did try the key that opens the door but the car wouldnt start, when i got the new shell and the key cut i tried to start the car but it wouldnt so i transfered the buttons over and it started.
You can always try first up the cheaper option and if it doesnt work than youll know and if it does least you didnt spend alot of $$$.

"does the rav4 2003 have the immobilizer chip or no?"
I believe that anti-theft feature was an option. My '03 L can use any old hardware store made key copy. It does has a lock/unlock key fob though.
