My RAV4 had an accident a while back and i took out the bumper cover, right side fender, and my right wheel was hit. It snapped the axle out of the CV joint, bumped the wheel a bit against the frame, and then the control arm was severely bent, bent far enough to where it banged my subframe about 1/4 inch out of spec, so my new control arm won't fit properly.
I'm considering picking up a new subframe from a scrapyard or the like and replacing it myself. Thoughts? |

I'm thinking big prybars, hammers or jacks to get enough of the 1/4" back to make the control arm fit. That is if the subframe hasn't been severely weakened. You'll need an alignment anyway.
