The parking brake on my wife's 2002 RAV4 AT started exhibiting some side to side play. I've never noticed before the entire time we've owned it.
Does anyone know where I should be looking to tighten this up and is this an indicator of anything else? Thanks in advance! |

There is one bolt that holds that parking brake lever into the floor of the car, if I remember correctly you have to take the center console out to get to it, or you might be able to reach it by removing the shifter trim. My Rav had the same problem when I purchased it, the bolt had simply loosened a bit.
