New speakers all around!

Hey friends! It's been a while!
I bought my sister a new stereo for her Pontiac Vibe for Christmas and since I was on Crutchfield already, I decided to buy new speakers for my RAV. It's something that I've been wanting to do for years now and I finally did it. They will go with my Alpine CDA-9886 head unit that I bought back at the beginning of 2012 (you can read about that here.)

Anyway, I bought two sets of Infinity Speakers. For the back, I went pretty cheap and got the shallow-mount Infinity Reference 6032si 6.75" 2-way Speakers for about $60. I figure I won't be spending that much time there so they don't need to sound as good as the front. Up front, I got the Infinity REF-6502ix 6.5"/6.75" 2-Way Car Speakers.

I, of course, went through Crutchfield, as I said, and they've set me up with all the materials that I need to get the job done. I will be getting this job done in the upcoming week while I'm home for Thanksgiving and I will certainly post pictures for everybody to see.

I know there are tons of threads already out there (and I have been reading them) but if anybody has specific suggestions/recommendations/tips/comments/concerns/snide remarks, please feel free to respond below. I feel confident that the Crutchfield guys won't leave me hanging but they still don't know our RAVs as well as we do.

Hope to hear from y'all!
Joe

Take a look at some of the other threads on speaker installs.. even if they aren't in your generation of RAV4, there is still plenty of good advice that would apply to all years. Good luck

I'm guessing the base is a lot more responsive and crisp compared to stock? I'm thinking about getting a set of REF-6502ix myself.
