Just the brakes or brakes+ new rotors or brakes+resurfacing of rotors?
Does this shop give lifetime warranty on the brake pads? some do.
What kind of brakes are they installing? MEtallic/ceramic.... ? what brand?

That isn't a bad price if you get someone else to do it. Make sure they are a good quality pad.
Changing these are easy, buy some toyota pads and try it yourself....

Since your car is 8 yrs old you would need to replace your caliper also because if you don't keeping the pads for another 8 yrs somewhere down
the road they will seize and ruin the pad/rotor in a short time. Also is
the rotor being replaced because it will get thin if it is used for another 5-8 years and over heat.

FYI, for just pads, the local dealer by me charges $99. It's around $200 when you get your rotors turned and lubed as well.

I have an 04 am at 110,000 miles and still on the stock pads. I need new pads. They are not worn out yet but there is not much left and my rotors could use a turning. What is the best price any one has seen for oem pads. 1st toyota parts has em for 54.95 front same rear. Also thinking about doing a caliper over hall. I have overhauled many hydraulic disc brakes for bicycles.

On the road in my Rav4 since February, Traveling, Volunteering, Camping and also enjoying beer bikes and bacon. Check out the blog www.servicedriven.org

I replaced the Pads on my 2009 Rav4 with pads from Autozone and found that it was the easiest and fastest brake job ever. 15min per wheel from start to finish is my all time record.

That's impressive! I chickened out and got it done at Monro Brake/Muffler for $160. For next time, is there a step-by-step (with pics) out there somewhere for 01-05 ravs?
