2007 Toyota RAV4 Limited low dealer trade-in???

Just wanted to know if the smart folks here think $8,800 for a 2007 limited with 96K miles, 4 cylinder, 2 wheel drive and very few minor blemishes is too low. Most sites I've checked show $1K more, but what is reality? I'm in the panhandle of Florida.

Run it through Edmunds True Market Value, IIRC it will give you a trade-in price.

The condition of the car means everything. Asking us to judge trade in value without even seeing or going over the car is folly.

Aren't all dealer trade-ins low? The only way they even seem reasonable is when they play the age-old game of raising it by what you could have gotten off the car you're buying.
I've never traded in a car in 40+ years. Always sell them private. Now with Craigslist it's easier than ever.
I know that doesn't actually answer you're specific question but please don't go Steve30 on me.

To give you a comparison in NZ my JDM Vanguard import (LWB Rav 4) also 2007 but similar to 2010'ish US models with 36000 k miles. Cost me 13900 USD. The Vanguard is spec'ed like a combo limited / sport 18 inch alloys plus Ltd in duel zone ac, push button start factory satnav HID lights Duel cameras etc.

In my area 07 Base models in VG condition well maintained & under 80K are still 11K so if no rust is present and its been loved sounds like wholesale to me.

Wholesale IS what dealers pay for trade-ins, $8800 in this case. Then they sell it for $2200 profit. If it was mine I'd rather get 10K for it private .... and give someone 1000 off dealer.

You & me both Dr.
I just purchased my 07 from a private seller & I know we both came out better cutting out the middle man.
BTW...Im new here but will be a regular going forward catching up but wanted to say thanks for all your past input (along with others). It has been very helpful in figuring out what the Rav 4 is all about under its skin. Hoping I dont have the oil issue but will not know until I put a few more XXXX miles on it.
