Universal Headlights Sensor Kit

I stumbled upon this interesting item while window shopping on ebay: NEW HEADLIGHTS ADJUSTABLE SENSOR CONTROL KIT FRONT LAMP ON/OFF AUTO SWITCH KIT | eBay

Anyone here have any experience with this product? I know there is an oem way of doing it factory style with original Toyota parts but this seems a bit easier Anyways, what are your thoughts?

Well I just tried a few years for the Rav4 on the site and just got not compatible. Maybe that is the answer? Anyway it would be interesting to know what is required to do it Toyota way.

2012 Rav4 Base Black Forest Pearl New 02/12 sold ?
2009 Rav4 Base Pyrite Mica New 11/08 sold 02/12
2002 Rav4 Base Blue Mica New 07/02 sold 11/08

I recommended this Directed Electronics auto headlight kit to my sister, and she installed it in her CR-V:

http://www.amazon.com/Directed-Electronics-545T-Nite-Lite-System/dp/B000CJ24YY

She said it works great. Even has an option to turn on the headlights when the wipers are on. Not bad for $29.99 shipped.

James, could you get a copy of the install instructions from her. That way we could determine how it wired up.

It says "universal" in the listing description, they probably just forgot to add the Rav4 to the comparability list. Toyota way is a PITA!

Looks like something that will work, though I would not want to hook up to my wipers. Well I have to wait until my cash train comes in.$$$
