Hi all,
I'm fairly new here and I'm a computer dummy. I've been reading about the wonderful things you can do with Techstream so I bought it on e-bay. I received it today but I can't figure out how to get it going. Its version V7.10.030 and it came with the cable and two mini-discs. One says Techstream on it and has an Application File calledJ2534 - Mangoose Pro, a PDF J2534 Mangoose Pro Quick Start file, a TISKEY allpication file, the Techstream 7.10.030 application file, and a folder labeled DRIVER. The other mini disc has "Toyota Techstream7.20.041, TIS KEY, MCVI Driver for Toyota, and MINI-VCI TIS" ALL .RAR files, and an application file J2534 - Mangoose Pro. I have extracted the .rar files and now have .exe files for them. The instructions from the PDF file are at best vague. I will give you exactly what it says: 1. Installing original OEM diagnostic software Must first install the original OEM diagnostic software Configuration options based on your product installation: TIS Techstraem 2. Installation J2534 - Mangoose Pro.exe; Double click the installer. Setup Wizard screen appees Click [OK] to complete the task 3. Installation in North America activator TISKEY.exe; OEM factory diagnostic software must be carried out after installation is compklete 4. Install J2534 - Mangoose PRO USB drive Connected for the first 2534 - Mangoose PRO USB cable to the PC, when prompted to find a new hardware, press the USB device is installed properly 5.Click to go to TIS detection software, this time to completer the task I have run Toyota Techstream 7.20.041.exe and then J2534 - Mangoose Pro.exe, but when I run the J2534 software I get a screen that shows "J2534 Technology" with a picture of a laptop on left, the Mini-VCI cable in the center, and a car on the right. Then there's a picture of the Mini-VCI cable on the bottom left with a green checkmark and a dialog box in the center with two question marks in it. If I try to make an entry in the box the screen goes away. I never get the setup screen as described in step 2. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. As I said I'm a computer dummy. Please somebody HELP! |

OK, I finally got it to work! Well almost. I can now load everything and can connect to the car, but I can't figure out how to change anything. Perhaps something simple like the seat belt alarm. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, click on Connect to Vehicle. After it connects, click on customize. You will see a screen that says "Select Customize Function"--click on Warning. From this screen you can disable the seat belt warning for the driver's side, passenger side, or both.

OK, I got it. Thanks Junebug ! I guess I wasn't looking closely enough. I feel really stupid now and it seems really obvious now. Thanks again.
