Just picked up the last V6 Sports from my dealership. Didn't have the exact configuration I wanted but at this point, I really didn't have a choice. initially, I was waiting for the 2013, but since the announcement and no V6 option, I had to act on a 2012.
V6 Sport 4WD with custom leather I've already added Weathertech window visors, mudguards, interior lights and the homelink mod. Now I'm considering weathertech liners for the rear to catch the mess my 6 year old will make. Not sure if I need anything for the front. For the back, I just flipped over the cargo mat that was included. It has a rubber backing. Also thinking about cargo cover and wheel locks. ![]() Questions: is the rear bumper protector available for the 2012s? body side moldings worth it? |

Not sure of your location, but my SAP came with wheel locks & cargo cover as standard equipment
In Canada, the Towing Prep option (heavy duty alternator, radiator fans, reinforced mounting points for OEM trailer hitch) are standard for the V6 models as well.

Hay... that looks just like mine...
Wheel locks, definitely.. got mine on line on Amazon at a good price, they were an option the original owner didn't buy. Cargo cover, up to you. My Sport with the Sport package has one the original owner bought when new and I stored it as it doesn't work that well, is in the way, even when it's rolled back and with rear dark tinted windows you can't see in the back anyway.

Good call on flipping the cargo mat over...good idea. I was going to buy a weathertech for it.... maybe I will put that $$ for an FF bug shield!

Regarding wheel locks, which is the correct one? There's three or four sets listed for this car on various sites. Will the all fit? Shouldn't 18", 17" and 16" all use the same wheel locks?

It depends on the type of wheels you have. The alloys have a different hole setup than the steel, etc. Just buy the ones that are made for your year, model, etc.

I read an article a while back that recommended 2 locking lug nuts on each wheel be used and placed opposite of each other. With 1 locking lug nut, all of the others can be removed and enough leverage applied opposite the locking lug nut to just snap the 1 locked lug bolt off, then the wheel/tire is gone. 2 locking lug nuts, placed opposite of each other, reduces the amount of leverage that can be applied in an attempt to snap lug bolts.
