And? Very old news.

This crack was disproved shortly after he made his claim. Turns out he basically rewired the throttle to make this "fault" appear.

There was never one Toyota vehicle anywhere in the world that was shown to have Unintended Acceleration...not one. Yet Toyota found it necessary to pay out 100s of millions in damages rather than to fight it in court...a mistake in my opinion...

This is just one of hundreds of experts who blasted Gilbert's "findings". In fact, ABC had to recant most of the story because of it. And to make matters worse, ABC even admitted that they'd staged the "revving tach" parts of the video.

I tested it on my V6 where I floored it and held the brake. Vehicle didn't go anywhere.

The only unintended acceleration I ever get is when the transmission kicks down a gear or two and then it accelerates like a bat outta hell. Love the V6 power.
