Any great deals on leftover ne 2012?

Has anybody made a really good deal on a "leftover" 2012 RAV4? What was the sticker and what did you pay? Thanks!

Local dealer shows two in stock and 25 available which means they are at other dealers in TX. Only one V-6 in the mix. As far as deals they only show MSRP so who knows. I did notice that they have no 2013 models in stock at all and only three are "available".

2008 Limited V-6 front wheel drive

No deals to be had that I have seen in Ontario, in the Mississauga to Hamilton region, and that goes for used vehicles, private or dealership. With regard to engines, what I have seen is primarily 4's; fewer 6's on the sale block, and I have been shopping around. But it stands to reason.. 3rd Gens are great, elite SUVs. Far too early to be a "sale" item new or used.

Bought my 4WD 2012 Sport in December for $26,800, including taxes, titles, fees, and a remote starter. 0% interest for 60 mos. I check the dealer's website every now and then, and currently they have:
4 Limited's (4WD from $25,647 to $25,937);
10 Limited V6 (from $27,841 to $29,345);
4 Sport's (4WD from $23,448 to $23,958 -- DAMN!; FWD for $22,606);
1 Sport V6 ($26,481);
7 base V6 ($24,453 to $27,785); and
28 Base (from $21,699 from FWD, $22,970 for 4WD).

However, the deal is that if you want (and qualify) for 0% interest you add $1000 to that price. It's the $1000 off or 0% interest.

We bought a 2012 with 5 miles on it in mid January for $21,999. MSRP before discounts was $25,810. Got it at Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa, AZ.

Specs: Base model with AWD, automatic trans, 4 cylinder, window tint, carpeted and all-weather mats, roof rack, bluetooth, door edge film. Only dealer "extra charge" was small doc prep fee. Tax, title and license were extra of course.

Hope this helps.

I am looking for a new 2012 FWD Sport 4cyl right now. Can I ask what dealership you got yours from? I find that dealers closer to DC tend not to negotiate as much as the ones further out like in southern MD. One salesman told me taxes in VA are set to go up in June. Is there any truth to this?

We bought it from Koons Toyota in Tyson's Corner. They were a bitch to negotiate with. We bought in December, prior to the annoucement of the 2013's, and our salesman was telling us that nothing would be out until the summer. They wouldn't budge on price for anything; I had to sweeten the deal by having them throw in the auto car starter. Looking back on it now, with all I know, I would have had them throw in mudflaps, body-side moldings, cargo tray, all-weather mats, etc. Basically all the things I ended up buying on my own after the fact.

I'm still happy with the car, I'm just bummed I didn't get more for the price.

As to your question about taxes, I found an article that says effective July 1, 2013, sales tax in VA is going to go from 5% to 5.3%.

EDIT: We ended up walking away from a loaded Limited, but then went back to talk with them about the Sport. My wife was very pregnant at the time and they used that to their advantage during the negotiations by talking about our need for a newer car, blah, blah. They also made a hard sale for a lease on the Limited but I wasn't interested. By going from the Limited to the Sport we ended up saving about $50/month.

2012 Rav4 Sport - Black
Added Accessories: OEM Remote Engine Starter | OEM Mudflaps | WeatherTech Moonroof Visor | OEM All-Weather Floor Mats | OEM All-Weather Cargo Tray | OEM Cargo Net | OEM Cargo Cover | Thule Force XL Roof Box
Up Next: Body Side Moldings
