Yokohama Geolander G91s

Our Rav has Yokohama G91 tires on it, but I find nothing online about the expected tread life (or tread warranty) for this tire. I found G51s on the Yokohama site, but nothing on G91s anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I believe that these tires are made specifically for our trucks by Yokohama, thats why you wil not be able to find out anything from their website. Our Ravs come with that or the Bridgestone duelers which are HORRIBLE. Be happy you got the better tires. They should last 30-35 k miles..

The Dueler H/L Alenza tires got very good reviews at www.tirerack.com. Has your experience been that much different? There are few tires available in the 225/65R17 size right now so even if I agree with you and want to chnge to something better, I am not sure what it would be.

different tire.. I have real experience with the duellers on my ZooK. 25k miles and they were shot. Very loud on the highway and traction was not good throughout its life. ALL Suzuki owners experienced the same thing.

Tires

Thx for the info. I was hoping to get better than 30-35K with these Yokohamas. The Dunlops on our Camry lasted 30K, whereas we had a Ranger that had all sorts of other problems, but the tires on it were still going strong at 50K.

We ended up replacing those Dunlops with Pirellis that had an 80K warranty and very good reviews. The problem is that they are extremely noisy... is there a site where user reviews talk about noise?

They put crappy oem Goodyears on my current Element. I still managed to get 45,000 miles out of them before upgrading to the Goodyear Fortera with Kevlar. Stickier then any tire out there in the SUV class. Super comfortable quiet tire with a 70,000 mile guarantee.

Warranty

Wow, that is good news. 2006 owners: Is there a warranty on the Geolanders? I was trying to find that info in my materials, but couldn't...
