NEED HELP!!! How to remove tail lights???!!!

So this might have been discussed before... And I apologize in advance if it has.

I tried installing tail light covers on my 2007. Well, I can not find ANYWHERE how to remove the tail lights! Seems impossible!

Please help! I really want to put these on, but I'm stuck.

I have no clue how to remove them. I opened the compartment where they're located, but only saw a tab and 1 screw with nut attached. I removed screw but it really is hard to see/locate anything else...

There are 4 bolts on each one. 2 are located thru the tool panels. The other 2 are behind the panel thru a 1" hole towards the hatch opening. I had the help of having a new taillight so I knew where to look! After you get the bolts off you pull towards the back of the Rav. They still have some clips.

I kind of understood what you said, but still having problems exactly locating the bolts, etc...

It is tedious and almost impossible, you gotta have small hands also.

Do I have to remove the panel to get to the bolts? If so, how? I removed all the screws and bolts I could find - including the seat tether and cargo net hook bolts, and can not get the panel off. I took a look at the tech info page but it's no help in actually finding the bolt locations.

Nismopowered,

With help from the images you posted regarding the taillights, I successfully replaced mine with a set of 2010 LED taillights. I unbolted about 5 bolts/screws on each rear panel, pulled it back just enough to access the other 2 nuts that hold the taillight on, and installed the new set.

Where did you find 2010 led taillights? Did you get them through the dealer or an online retailer?

Through a local Toyota dealership in the Parts Department...
