For those without the spare tire and don't have a need to carry more than two bikes (mine gets swapped between my 2" receiver and wife's 1 1/4" receiver on her 2006 Solara), then the Thule will work.
However I have the no-sway attachments, and I noticed that, when the hitch is dropped down, that piece blocks the door. It opens plenty enough for me to access the rear without moving the attachment out of the way, but it is there.
