Default Black Streaks

I have a basic white 09 with black mirrors and door handles. I see black streaks running down the sides. Is there a cure for this or just constant washing?

Are the streaks right bellow the mirror and handles?

How about a picture of same? We have a '08 base model and have never experienced what you are talking about. Sounds to me like the areas were never clean to begin with, just a possibility.

Yours is a Limited. Does it have black handles and mirrors?

No but as I stated, we also have a base model. Never a streak from door handles or mirrors. Read below the Owl, we have two RAV's.

If you are getting streaks from those areas then they either haven't been cleaned properly or whatever you are using to dress them (shine them up) is running and causing the discoloration. They don't "bleed" black on their own. They dry up and turn white when not attended to.

Washing takes it off, but then it's back again shortly afterward.
