I'm in the same boat with you. Factory harness is there under the front bumper, but no grey wire in the turn signal terminal. Has anyone had the same issue?

Sorry for interjecting...but do you know if you can get only the switch from the kit? Or where the seller gets the kits so I can see if I can order just the switch? I would like an OEM fog light switch for another project of mine.

There maybe some hope for those of us that don't have the grey wire in the turn signal terminal. I recently found this link that uses pins 11 and 20.

Check this link out: Link

I'm wondering what functionality this will give you. By tapping these wires under the steering column, it will probably give the fogs an oem style headlights-on-only functionality. If you use all the harnesses in the kit and don't tap in under the dash, you will probably be able to turn your fogs on and off independently of the headlights.

I would like to keep within the oem headlight-on only function. I was hoping to avoid using the aftermarket harness. It would be interesting to find out how those alternate pins function.

A pin-out schematic would be a big help. Does anyone out there have one? :-)

hey,
I would like to know that when it says that modification is required on the fog lights. What does it actually mean?? Does it have to do something with the wiring. I am talking when installing the fog lights.

Ebay is your friend. I have a base 2008 rav4. Got it for $68 + shipping.
But one of the bulbs burnt within a month. So I bought a pair of yellow H8 bulbs from Amazon for about $25!
